Presenting a slide deck can be challenging during video conferences because, inevitably, you need to put it in Presenter Mode, taking up your entire screen and blocking your view of the conference. Here are some steps to take to enable you to see the revnt platform while presenting in PowerPoint or Google Slides

Dual-Screen Setup

The most optimal setup for speaking and presenting on revnt requires two screens. This allows you to both see your video and your slide deck at the same time.

If you only have one screen to use, click this button to review other instructions.

PowerPoint:

  1. 1. After you have joined your video session, open your PowerPoint presentation and navigate to the Slide Show tab.

  2. Look for the Monitor selector and make sure your presentation will be on the primary screen.

    1. It may not be clear which screen that will be, so feel free to switch selections if it is not displaying on the correct one.

  3. Click From Beginning or press F5 to start presentation mode.

    1. You should see your slides in full screen on one screen and the presenter window on the other, showing your current and next slide, as well as any notes you've made on them.

  4. Press Alt + Tab on your keyboard to focus on the browser window with your video on it.

    1. If you have many windows open, hold Alt and hit Tab multiple times until the correct window is selected.

  5. Now that you can see the video, click Share at the bottom of the video window, then click Window in the dropdown. Select your full-screen slide, then click the Share button in the dropdown.

    1. When you click the second Share button, your presentation may come into focus, blocking your view of the video. Just like before, use Alt + Tab to navigate back to the browser window.

You should now be able to see the video, with your camera and slides present on one screen, with your presenter window on the other. Use your cursor on the presenter window to change slides, or simply click on it and use your arrow keys to navigate.

Google Slides:

  1. After you have joined your video session, open your Google Slide presentation in another window on your second display.

  2. Navigate back to the revnt, and click the Share button at the bottom.

  3. Click Chrome Tab, and select your Google Slides tab. Then click the Share button at the bottom of the dropdown.

    1. Note: This option is only present in Chromium based browsers like Chrome and Microsoft Edge. We highly recommend using one of these options. If you cannot, select the Window which has your Google Slides present instead of Chrome Tab.

  4. In your Google Slide tab, click Present in the top right corner of the page.

    1. Your slides should expand to take up the whole tab, but not the full screen.

You should now be able to see the video, with your camera and slides present on one screen, with your slides on the other. Use your cursor on the slides window to change slides, or simply click on it and use your arrow keys to navigate.
